To the Members of the Hearing Board Regarding Tour Helicopters in Hawaii:
Following several recent fatal crashes two FAA whistleblowers have now confirmed that commercial tour helicopters have long been routinely violating regulations and been allowed to do so because of corruption. These unsafe and illegally low daily overflights have exploited and harassed residents in lava disaster zones in particular. The noise from dawn until dusk (even on weekends and holidays such as Thanksgiving and Easter Sunday) is very stressful. The invasion of privacy –thousands of photos and video recordings being taken without consent and against repeated objections– is intolerable. Unethical pilots fly too low in order to thrill the tourists and so get big fat cash tips. This abuse needs to stop.
