The Helicopter noise issue is of crucial importance to residents and home owners in the Diamond Head area and also the surrounding area. The noise pollution from copter engines is intolerable on many days and interrupts people’s ability to live their lives peacefully, free from random excessively loud noises. The operating firms should be required to not fly over residential areas, or there should be a (high) minimum flight altitude below which they are not allowed to operate. There should be substantial penalties enforced for violations. Among the penalties, should be revocation of permission to fly tourists over Diamond Head. The flagrant and uncaring attitude of operators and pilots is unacceptable, so the rules need to change to create a system which recognizes and deals with the excessive noise pollution problem. Thank you for your attention to these matters.
